DataDirect OpenAccess SDK is the industry's leading custom driver development kit, enabling custom drivers for any data source to be developed within weeks. Whether your data source is a proprietary file format or a proprietary API, OpenAccess SDK can be used to make it SQL accessible from ODBC, JDBC, OLE DB, or ADO.NET compliant applications. If your data source is already SQL compliant then OpenAccess SDK can be used to implement standards based interfaces for it.

Out of the box, OpenAccess SDK provides up to 99% of what is needed—you add the additional 1% to glue your data source into the OpenAccess SDK platform. The "glue" can be implemented in C, C++, Java, or a .NET language. Once your data source is glued into OpenAccess SDK it is accessible through JDBC, ODBC, OLE DB, or ADO.NET APIs using SQL as the query language.
