ADO.NET Tutorial and Workshop
The Microsoft .NET Framework has emerged as a viable platform to develop and deploy critical applications. The most recent release of the framework, .NET Framework Version 2.0, includes ADO.NET 2.0, which plays a critical role in applications that leverage relational databases.
DataDirect Connect for ADO.NET data providers support the .NET 2.0 Framework, including the ADO.NET 2.0 data access specification. ADO.NET 2.0 includes a number of important new features such as the Common Programming Model, which allows for provider- and data source-independent programming. DataDirect Connect for ADO.NET is the industry's only ADO.NET data provider with a 100% managed code architecture. Managed code eliminates the need for database clients, boosts performance and delivers a flexible, secure connection to Oracle, DB2, SQL Server and Sybase.
As part of DataDirect's commitment to customer success and in support of the latest release of ADO.NET, DataDirect is offering an ADO.NET 2.0 team-based workshop. This hands-on workshop is being taught by DataDirect engineers and will be invaluable to any organization that is planning or considering a move to the .NET 2.0 Framework.
