DataDirect IDMS Extensions OCA-SYSLINK
DataDirect offers a unique set of IDMS Extensions within the OCA family of APIs to assist developers facing the particular challenges of integrating IDMS database and application environments into heterogeneous platforms.
Each of the OCA products is specifically designed to address a particular limitation that hold developers back in getting IDMS data and applications to integrate with common web-based, messaging database, and mainframe standards, as well as with other IDMS regions.
To lift traditional restrictions associated with the IDMS environment and free developers to apply innovative, efficient approaches to integration, DataDirect offers the following products:
- OCA TCP/IP — Allows IDMS applications to open a TCP/IP socket for bi-directional messaging.
- OCA MQ — Allows IDMS to integrate with IBM WebSphere MQ Series.
- OCA Commit — Enables 2-phase commit (2PC) to ensure completion of IDMS transactions in distributed database environments.
- OCA EXCI — Allows applications to call CICS routines from IDMS programs.
- OCA DB2 — Enables developers to execute SQL calls to a DB2 database from within IDMS applications.
- OCA Syslink — Enables developers to create applications in one IDMS region that access resources, such as transactions, in other IDMS regions.
